Social Circles: A Political Discourse

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, some may attribute this to technology. Why haven't we talked to our friends in months? Is it a result of Facebook? Or is modern technology the reason we keep our friendships alive?

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, and this is especially clear in the modern age of technology. Gone are the days when men would wait at the airport for hours on end. These days, everyone owns cell phones. A simple "I'm here" and "on my way" have saved many hurt feelings and impatient hearts. Technology destroying us? Never! I say technology sets us free!


Some may contest that technology like Facebook has come to take the place of face-to-face contact, but on the contrary, how many of us have connected with lost comrades? How many of us have been able to track down phone numbers or arranged parties or set up sporting events?

The only solution is this: rather than criticizing technology, let's celebrate it! Free apps! Continued free use of Facebook! Let's continue to use the technology that was given to us freely!

Isn't it obvious? Through Facebook, cell phones, and email, we socially and mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor (at least for communication purposes). Let us continue to enjoy the world and it's many media miracles!
